About Michael Landsberg:
A broadcasting veteran and radio host, who has been with TSN since 1984. He began his broadcasting career as an anchor on SPORTSCENTRE where he hosted over 5,000 episodes, before moving on to host the acclaimed 30 minute daily sports debate program, OFF THE RECORD. He was the Whistler Host for Olympic Daytime on CTV during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games and he anchored TSN’s Olympic Daytime during the London 2012 Olympic Games. Landsberg was also, nominated for the Gemini Award for Best Host or Interviewer in a Sports Program or Sportscast twice.
Since revealing his personal struggle with depression in 2009, Michael Landsberg has become known as “the guy who talks openly about his mental illness.” Regarded as one of Canada’s most vocal advocates for mental health awareness, today he considers his ability to help reduce the stigma of mental illness and his most important professional calling. Michael is the founder of #SickNotWeak: a non-profit dedicated to eradicating stigma, building community and having non-judgemental conversations to help better understand mental illness.
