As electric vehicle adoption continues to grow, condominium boards and managers are facing increasingly complex questions around EV charging infrastructure. CCISA invites you to a virtual luncheon and expert-led discussion designed to provide clarity, practical guidance, and risk awareness.
This session will explore the technical, legal, and safety considerations condominium corporations must understand when planning for EV charging installations, including:
• Bylaws and special resolutions required for EV charger installations
• Navigating owner approval, communication, and buy-in
• Electrical capacity assessments and required system upgrades
• Placement and installation considerations in parkades and common areas
• Fire inspection, compliance expectations, and preparing for inspections
• EV fire risks in parkades (above and below ground) and the need for specialized fire suppression procedures and equipment
